S. Anoush Lancaster

Anoush Lancaster focuses on prosecuting complex cases involving products liability, premises liability, negligence, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death.
A Bay Area native, Ms. Lancaster has been active in local social justice for many years. While receiving her undergraduate degree in Political Science from San Francisco State University, she split her time between working odd jobs, attending classes, and working at the Youth Guidance Center at San Francisco’s Juvenile Hall. Through the Girls Justice Initiative, Ms. Lancaster conducted client assessments, recommended service plans, developed curriculum and taught classes on decision-making. Later, living in Portland, Oregon, she volunteered at Outside In, assisting homeless teens in obtaining much needed skills and resources.
Ms. Lancaster attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, receiving her law degree in 2009. While at Hastings, she was actively involved with both the surrounding community, as well as campus life. She served as a Student Government Representative, 3L Class Campaign Counsel, co-President of the American Bar Association’s Law School Division, and was co-President and co-founder of the Armenian Law Students Association. Ms. Lancaster was a Disability Resources Note Taker, assisted with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, and chaired the Associated Student Speakers Series. She also competed on the Hastings Client Counseling Team, taking the highest ranking the Hastings Client Counseling Team has received to date.
Ms. Lancaster externed for the Honorable Judge Saundra B. Armstrong of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, as well as volunteered at the Family Law Facilitator’s Office at San Francisco’s Superior Court. Excerpts of her law school research paper “Connecting with your Tech-Savvy Jury” were published in Plaintiff Magazine (November 2009).
One of Ms. Lancaster’s more fulfilling experiences during law school was representing a Social Security client through Hastings’ Civil Justice Clinic. Ms. Lancaster ran her client’s case from start to finish and won benefits and back payments for a client who had been attempting to receive benefits for over a decade.
Ms. Lancaster is admitted to practice before California state courts. She is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco, Queen’s Bench and San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association.
